OCWA 2015 Scholarship

The Orthodox Christian Women’s Association – Society of Myrrhbearing Women is proud to announce the 2015 Mary P. Hallick Scholarship Awards Program.

Two (2) scholarships will be awarded to Orthodox Christian women by the Orthodox
Christian Women’s Association of Wisconsin: The Society of Myrrhbearing Women.
One award of $500 will be presented to a senior high school student furthering her education
through either an associate’s degree at a technical college or a bachelor’s degree
from a college or university. The second scholarship of $1000 will be awarded to a graduate
student at the university level enrolled in postgraduate work.

Eligibility:

     • The applicant must be a practicing member of an Orthodox Christian
parish in Wisconsin.

     • The applicant must have a letter of recommendation from her parish priest.

Materials for judging:

         A. Completion of the Scholarship Application Form.
        B. High School transcript and either ACT or SAT score for High School Applicants.
        C. College transcript for Graduate Applicants.

The materials required for judging must be received by the Scholarship Selection Committee at the address below, no later than January 15th, 2015.

The two winners will be notified and must be present at the Thursday, February 19th,
2015 Scholarship Awards Dinner to receive their awards. If a winner attends an out-of-state
school, an immediate family member must be present to accept the award at the dinner
that evening.

Selection of Winners:

The Scholarship Selection Committee is an independent, impartial and unbiased religious
group from outside the Orthodox Christian community. They will determine the two
award winners. Their decision is final.
