OCWA Conference 2016 – Jesus Christ Conquers

The Orthodox Christian Women’s Association is holding their 7th Educational Conference. This year’s theme is “Jesus Christ Conquers”.

Keynote address: Fr. Nicholas Greanias – “Conquering with Christ and Evangelizing the World”

Breakout session 1: Fr. Nikola Radovancevic – “The Liturgy Before the Liturgy: Proskomedia and Its Significance for Laypeople”

Breakout session 2: Subdeacon Curtis Dowling – “Orthodox Christian Education and Retaining our Youth”

Lunch will also feature the ever-popular “Stump Your Parish Priest” question and answer session.

This one day conference sponsored by the Orthodox Clergy Syndesmos of Wisconsin and will discuss theology, historical realities, and the modern crisis of the Church in predominantly Muslim countries.

Sami Sweis, Doctoral Candidate, Near Eastern Languages & Civilizations, University of Chicago
